ITF England National Team: Final Selection Assessment

Sunday, 6th December 2026
| Bedford International Athletic Stadium, Bedford, Bedfordshire, England |
The journey toward representing England on the international stage reaches a critical milestone this winter. Following open training and competitive evaluations, ITF England will host its second selection assessment on Sunday, 6th December.
This crucial session serves as the final evaluation phase before official national team rosters are confirmed.
Event Overview: Invitation-Only Selections
Unlike open squad trainings, the 6th December assessment is strictly invitation-only.
The Selection Committee invites specific candidates based on their year-round performances, National Championship results, and High Performance Program engagement. Invited athletes will undergo head-to-head assessments, technical evaluations, and tactical pressure testing.
Date: Sunday, 6th December
Format: Invitation Only
Target Audience: Invited National Team candidates
Mandatory Attendance Policy
Athletes attempting selection for the ITF England National Team are expected to be fully available for all scheduled High Performance Program selection events.
Consistency, commitment, and presence at mandatory trials are fundamental criteria used by coaches and selectors to build a disciplined, cohesive national squad.
Unavoidable Absence & Notice Process
We recognize that exceptional, unavoidable circumstances can occasionally arise. If an invited candidate is unable to attend due to legitimate situations - such as work commitments, injury, or major family events - a formal notification process must be followed.
Required Action: Candidates must email nationalteam@itfengland.com with:
Full explanation/reasoning for the absence
As much advance notice as possible
All absence requests will be reviewed directly by the High Performance Program Selection Committee. Late notices without valid justification may impact an athlete's ongoing evaluation status.
For questions regarding national team selection or program requirements, please consult your home club instructor or reach out to the High Performance Program team.
