ITF England Congress 2026 - Board Appointments & Acting President

The ITF England Congress 2026 marked an important moment for the organisation, with several updates confirmed regarding Board positions. We would like to communicate these changes to our members and affiliates.
During Congress, Master Lear stepped down from his position as President of ITF England. We thank Master Lear for his leadership, dedication and contribution to the continued development of ITF England. His commitment to the organisation and its members is recognised and appreciated.
Dr Brider also stepped down from his Board position. We sincerely thank him for his work and dedication to ITF England. He will continue to support the organisation as an advisor on ongoing projects.
Mr Turner stepped down from his role as Secretary General and will continue to fulfil his duties until the next Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM). We thank him for his service and continued commitment during this period.
Following these changes, Master John Archer has stepped into the role of Acting President.
In addition, three new Board Members were appointed during Congress:
Treasurer - Master Johann de Silva
Board Member - Ms Tammy du Preez
Board Member - Mr Daniel Beard
We are pleased to welcome them into their roles and look forward to their contribution to the ongoing development of the organisation.
Master Lear submitted a written letter of resignation addressed to Grand Masters, Masters and members. In his letter, he outlines the reasons for his decision and provides context to ensure clarity and transparency across the organisation. In the interest of openness and respect for our membership, ITF England is publishing his letter in full here.
ITF England remains focused on supporting its members, developing athletes and progressing the organisation at every level. Further updates will be communicated in due course.
