ITF Do Course - November 2026
The International Taekwon-Do Federation has officially announced the upcoming International Do Course (IDC) for November 2026. Delivered fully online, this essential course focuses on the core spiritual and philosophical foundations of martial arts: Taekwon-Do philosophy, moral culture, and the practical application of "Do" (the way) in daily life and training.
What is the International Do Course?
While technical physical training develops speed, power, and precision, the study of "Do" builds character, self-discipline, and ethical leadership. The International Do Course provides structured guidance on how to integrate the Tenets of Taekwon-Do into daily routines and regular club instruction.
Mandatory Grading Requirements
The International Do Course is a core element of the global ITF syllabus. Please note:
Degree Candidates: The IDC is a mandatory requirement for all candidates grading to 4th Degree Black Belt and above.
General Eligibility: The course is open to all Taekwon-Do practitioners aged 16 and over.
Certification: An official ITF International Do Course Certificate is issued only to participants who complete both Day 1 and Day 2.
Course Structure & Curriculum
Day 1: Foundation & Application
Eligibility: Open to students from 8th–3rd Kup (Yellow Belt to Blue Belt with Red Stripe)
Focus: Examines the fundamental Tenets of Taekwon-Do (Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, Indomitable Spirit) and their practical application in everyday life.
Day 2: Advanced Practice & Teaching Methodology
Eligibility: Open to 2nd Kup and above (Red Belt and above)
Focus: Centers on practical "Do" exercises, instruction methodology, and effective strategies for integrating moral culture training into regular dojang classes.
