The De Silva Open has been specifically designed for younger White & Coloured Belt competitors aged 7–17 years and aims to provide a high-quality competition experience within a professional yet supportive environment.

The event has been created as a stepping stone between smaller interclub competitions and larger national and international tournaments such as The Warrior Open, giving developing competitors the opportunity to gain valuable experience against students from different ITF clubs and organisations.

As a London-based event, we hope the De Silva Open will become a fantastic opportunity for clubs across the region to come together, build connections and provide their students with more regular competition experience within a well-organised and positive environment.

The competition is organised by Master Johann de Silva and the De Silva Taekwon-Do team, who collectively have many years of experience organising ITF Taekwon-Do events and developing competitors at all levels.

Please note that the De Silva Open 2026 will have a maximum capacity of 250 competitors in order to help maintain an efficient schedule and positive competition experience throughout the day.

Places will therefore be allocated on a first come, first served basis, and once the event reaches capacity, further entries may not be accepted.
