Verification & Weigh-In

ID Cards & Weigh-In Process

Check-in has three steps:

1. ID Card Collection

  • Each Club/Association receives a tournament pack with ID cards and wristbands for its athletes and coaches.

  • The Head of Association or Club Representative must collect these before individual registrations.

  • Wristbands must be worn at all times during the competition. Competitors not wearing one may be charged for entry.

2. Competitor Registration

  • All competitors must register in person with their ID card, wearing Dobok bottoms and a T-shirt.

  • ID cards are verified and stamped to confirm attendance.

  • Where a competitor has entered at a higher grade for National Team selection, their ID card will show the grade entered.

  • Only competitors entered in sparring need a height or weight check. Competitors not entered in sparring only need their ID verified, in a dedicated area.

3. Height & Weight Check

  • Sparring competitors are checked to confirm they are in the correct division.

  • All White & Coloured Belt competitors receive the ITF standard weight allowance of 500g. Coloured Belt competitors also receive a height allowance of 2cm.

Black Belt competitors receive a weight allowance of 5% for their sparring division. For example, a competitor in the -50kg division may weigh in at up to 52.5kg.

Registration Sessions

An additional weigh-in session has been added on Friday 6 November 2026 to help travelling teams. All competitors are strongly encouraged to register that day if possible.

Competitors should attend verification on the day of the grade they have entered, not their current grade. For example, a 1st Kup entered as 1st Degree should attend the Saturday session.

Reminder: ID cards must be collected before registration by the Head of Association or Club Representative.
