Approved Equipment

Dobok / Uniform & Belts

  • White & Coloured Belts: ITF dress code for 10th to 1st Kup applies. Only white doboks may be worn (any brand); no other colours are allowed. A belt is required.

  • National Team doboks are not permitted.

  • Black Belts (1st to 3rd Dan): ITF dress code for 1st to 3rd degree applies. Belts need not be plain and may show the competitor's name or club details.

  • Black Belts (4th to 6th Dan): ITF dress code for 4th to 6th degree doboks applies. Belts need not be plain and may show the competitor's name or club details.

All safety equipment must be of soft material, give enough protection to both competitors, and be of a type approved by the organising committee. In case of uncertainty, the Head Umpire will have the final decision.

Sparring Equipment

Headguard - Mandatory - White & Coloured Belts: any brand and colour (need not be red or blue); must not cover the face. Black Belts: must have both a red and a blue headguard.

Sparring gloves - Mandatory - Any brand and colour; must be open-palmed semi-contact gloves.

​

Sparring boots - Mandatory - Any brand and colour; not required to be red or blue.

​

Mouthguard - Mandatory - Colourless or transparent encouraged.

​

Groin guard (males) - Mandatory - Worn inside the dobok trousers.

​

Groin guard (females) - Optional.

​

Shin guards - Optional (recommended)  - All competitors; worn inside the dobok trousers.

​

Chest protector (females) - Optional​​
